"NO ONE CAN SAY JESUS IS LORD EXCEPT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT" (1 Corinthians 12:3)
I'm Dan Leddy, a former New York State Judge and Law Professor. I currently practice appellate law and provide legal commentary for various media outlets.
I'm a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament on Staten Island where I'm a member of the Parish Council and serve as a lector. I'm also Blessed Sacrament's representative on the Staten Island Deanery Council. In addition to my parish activity, I'm a Knight Commander in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepuchre of Jerusalem.
The "Mission" section of this website explains how and why I came to establish Titans of the Spirit.
Access to daily and Sunday Mass is provided in the "Mass" section.
Daily news of interest to Catholics, from faithful and reliable sources, may be accessed through links provided in the "News" section.
"Believe!" promotes and defends belief in God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Catholic Church.
Another section, "Mary", is devoted to the Mother of the Redeemer, and reflects on her role in the mystery of Christ and on her active and exemplary presence in the life of the Church.
"First Friday" recounts the history of a once-thriving devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and calls for its renewal in these especially trying times.
In the "Prayers" section, visitors can access the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Angelus, the Chaplet of St. Michael, the prayer to St. Michael and The Divine Praises
Finally, the "Blog" presents regular, timely commentary by me on important issues about or affecting the Catholic Church.

DANIEL D. LEDDY JR
This website and its mission are dedicated to my mother, A. Grace Leddy, who was a faithful Catholic for 102 years.
Mom never missed Mass on Sunday and prayed the Rosary every day. In a wondrous gift from God, through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, she was called home to the Lord on October 7, 2017, the feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
That gift was even more inspiring since the similar Byzantine celebration, the Protection of the Mother of God, takes place on October 1, my birthday! But God and the Blessed Mother weren't finished.
On October 12, the sorrowful day in which I saw my beloved mother at her wake, the Church celebrates the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, the first Marian apparition.
Then, as a final uplifting consolation, Mom was laid to rest on October 13, 2017, the 100th anniversary of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.
In late 2011, as the Church began implementing the first changes in the liturgy of the Mass in over 40 years, Mom, then 96, was interviewed by a television reporter following Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church on Staten Island.
The reporter asked her why she was still going to Mass at age 96. Mom replied, "Because I'm a Catholic. I was born a Catholic. Hopefully, I'll die a Catholic. And that's it!"
Let every Catholic embrace that message!
I owe a lot to my mother. Most of all, however, I'm grateful for her steadfast devotion to Christ's Church. This website is but one fruit of that devotion.
In her honor, it was launched on August 14, 2020, the 105th anniversary of her birth.
